Technical Training

Our technical training’s foremost programmes focus on the science, methodology, terminology and applications of welding.

Programmes allow students to develop theoretical and working knowledge of the most commonly used welding processes, in all positions, equipment set-up and operations. These include stick welding (MMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), oxy-acetylene, and gas tungsten arc welding (TIG) from beginner to advanced levels.

Related study areas include health and safety and good practice in industrial work environments; weld quality assessments and metallurgical properties; and blueprint reading and welding symbols.

We deliver a range of full-time programmes and short courses to suit individual learning requirements and career aspirations. We are also able to customize courses for specific industries and organisations on request.

Various media is used for the effective delivery of course content. Groups are purposely restricted to small numbers, allowing our expert instructors to grant each participant as much individual attention as possible.
